The Sussex Tech Adult Career Center does not sell textbooks. Courses that require textbooks will either be noted on your confirmation/registration receipt or the instructor will notify the first night of class. You may purchase the textbooks from the publisher directly or online or through a bookstore. Buying your textbooks directly will save you money.
How to Register
The key is register early…many classes have limited enrollment. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Complete the registration form on the registration page.
Tuition and all fees must be paid in full upon registration by in-person, e-mail, mail or fax registration. We accept cash, check, money order, Visa and MasterCard. Register now through the week before the class starts. Sign up early... classes have limited enrollment.
Telephone registrations are not accepted!
Tuition is for one semester only. Costs of books are not included in tuition or shop fees, unless otherwise noted.
Register by Mail – Complete the registration form and send the form (a copy) with your payment (check, money order or credit card information…Visa or MasterCard only) to: Sussex Tech Adult Career Center, 105 North Church Road, Sparta, NJ 07871.
Register by Fax – Complete the registration form being sure to fill out all the necessary credit card information requested on the form, including your credit card # and expiration date (Visa or MasterCard only). Then fax the registration form to (973) 383-0337.
In-Person Registration – Sussex County Technical School, Sussex Tech Adult Career Center Office, Route 94 & White Lake Road, Sparta, N.J., Board Office.

Let us know your interest by registering as soon as possible. In an attempt to cancel as few courses as possible, we may wait until the day before the start of class to cancel courses with low enrollment.

Smoking is prohibited anywhere in school buildings or on school grounds per NJSA 26:3D-17b and will be enforced!
Help keep our facilities clean! Please consume food and drink in the cafeteria or outdoors. Kindly use the recycling/garbage containers in the cafeteria. Food and drink are not allowed in the classrooms.
Transferring (Dropping & Adding) a Course
To drop one course and add another, please notify us in writing up until the first class meeting by fax or in person.
Per Board of Education policy, there is a service charge of $31 for all returned checks, payable in cash at the Sussex Tech Adult Career Center.
Sussex Tech Adult Career Center is run on a non-subsidized basis as a public service. All tuition is intended to pay instructional, supply and overhead costs. Therefore, we cannot provide discounts to any individual or group.
Refund and Cancelation Policies
A 100% refund is given upon written request up until the first scheduled class meeting. No refunds will be made if you withdraw at any time after the scheduled start of a class. Our low rates are based upon the shared costs with fellow students.
The Sussex Tech Adult Career Center reserves the right to cancel courses when there is insufficient enrollment. If you register for a course which is later canceled, we will notify you of the cancelation. In an attempt to cancel as few courses as possible, we may wait until the day before the start of class to cancel courses with low enrollment. Enrollees with a canceled course may select an alternate course or receive a full refund. Enrollees who pay by credit card will have their account credited. Enrollees who pay for a course by cash or check will be issued a refund check through the mail within 30 days of the start of the course.
Students are responsible to meet all prerequisites to insure that they are in the appropriate class.
We reserve the right to have our instructor assess the students’ ability to meet the prerequisites the first night of class!
In the event of inclement weather conditions, students attending classes at the Sussex Tech Adult Career Center should listen to the following radio stations for closings:
WNNJ – 103.7 FM
WSUS – 102.3 FM
If the Sussex County Technical School is closed or dismissed early due to inclement weather conditions, the Adult Career Center is also closed.
